Preparation
Parking: Park the pump truck in an open area, park on a flat ground, and buckle the handbrake to ensure that the pump truck does not slide.
Tool preparation: Prepare the tools needed to replace the piston, generally including screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, rubber hammers, etc.
Cleaning the old piston
Disassembly: Use a screwdriver to remove the piston on the tank of the pump truck, and then use a wrench to remove the screws on the piston head.
Cleaning: After removing the piston, clean the piston, remove dust and stains on the surface, and use a rubber hammer to tap the piston cylinder to discharge the oil stains in the piston cylinder.
Installation of the new piston
Inspection: Check whether the size, shape, and material of the new piston are the same as the old piston to ensure that the new piston can fit the tank of the pump truck.
Lubrication: Apply lubricant to the surface of the new piston to make it easier to enter the tank.
Installation: Align the screws on the new piston head with the holes on the tank body, and then tighten the screws with a wrench.
Testing
After installation, you need to test the working condition of the new piston. You can try to start the hydraulic pump of the pump truck to see if the piston can be lifted and lowered normally. If you find any problems, you can recheck the installation position of the piston and whether the screws are firm.
